Lighting a Humble(t) hero shot
Written by Alex Harris
I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Michael Humblet on his Sales Acceleration Show. The guy is an expert in sales and marketing, but his shows are a mix of sound business talk spiced up with a healthy dose of madness!
His office is in a great looking modern building, (MC Square Leuven) so while I was there we also walked around to see if we could get some cool shots of Michael in his working environment.
One of the hallways had the right mix of overhead lighting, natural window light and a suitable background - the photo on the wall behind him.
So we grabbed the moment! I positioned him, I got down on my knees and took the shot. One shot. We were done in maybe 30 seconds.
Here you can see the final shot and the lighting diagram, showing how the different types of light help to make the shot, to create the right look.
Michael is the kind of guy this hero shot works great for - proud, good looking, confident.
He also knows his knowledge, skills and advice can help make a difference, can help generate business.
But that doesn’t make him unique.
Really any business owner - entrepreneur, freelancer, self-employed professional - should be just as proud of their business and needs to stand out, be noticed.
If you stand out and people take notice, they might just stop scrolling and get in touch. And hopefully more business comes to your door.
While I was there, we grabbed some other shots too. Some more branding shots Michael can use for his online marketing, his keynote talks, maybe even his upcoming book…
If you’re interested in Michael’s show, you can find all the episodes here: Sales Acceleration Show
And if you need your own hero shot - or even slightly less hero-ish business photos 😉 - why not drop me a line?
