Everyone deserves a profile photo that makes them look great. If we look great, we feel more confident. If we feel confident, we look approachable. And that’s when relationships can start to grow.

I want you to feel comfortable in front of the camera. Maybe you won’t at first, but a lot of people don’t. (“I’m not photogenic”, “I don’t like having my picture taken”…) But we always get there in the end. That’s my promise to you.

During your shoot, we’ll work one-to-one until we’ve got a set of images that you’re happy with. Every so often, we’ll pause and look through the photos, I’ll give live feedback and we’ll see what works and what doesn’t. That way you’ll be more satisfied with the results.

Thanks to posing tricks and coaching, we’ll concentrate on your facial expression, your body position and finding your best side (we’ve all got one).

FAQ

How should I arrive for a photoshoot?

Come camera-ready, so we can dive right in. Wear clothes you feel comfortable in and that suit the image you're after, but steer clear of crazy patterns and logos - you want people to focus on your face, not your shirt.

Can I wear make-up?

Of course. If you do then come already made-up, as I don’t currently work with a make-up artist.

New haircut?

Go for it. Best not to do it the same day as the shoot, though. Just in case.

Any tips for preparing for the shoot?

I want to show your personality in the photos, so have a think about who will see your headshot, what message you want the pictures to tell, whether you like the image your clients / colleagues / associates currently have of you...

I’m not photogenic!

Sure. ;-) I’ve heard that one before and, believe me, everyone is. How you see yourself is different to how others see you.

Image selection & delivery

Most people choose their favourite photos by the end of the session. I offer advice on small, but significant, differences you might not notice. When you’ve made your choice, I’ll fully retouch your favourites and send them to you soon after the shoot. And if you decide to add more later, that’s totally up to you.

Where are you based?

Herent, near Leuven, Belgium. But I shoot all over the place.

Shoots on-location?

Definitely! I work mostly on-location, so I bring my mobile studio to you, wherever you are. It’s convenient for you and it’s somewhere you’re probably already comfortable.

Do I get all the pictures you take?

No. We’ll typically end up with a few hundred photos. I create a private online gallery for you, with low resolution, unedited versions; then I fully edit the photos you choose to buy and send you those in high resolution.

Will I enjoy the shoot?

I hope so! ;-) No-one has ever told me they didn’t enjoy it. Felt uncomfortable at first, yes; but by the end it all works out.

Can I suggest poses, locations…?

Of course. If you have your own ideas, I’m all ears! It’s great if we can work together to get to a result that you’re happy with.

Will you photoshop me?

I can get rid of the spot that reared its ugly head the morning of the shoot, any bits of food between your teeth, temporary blemishes. But generally I like to keep you looking pretty natural. You don’t want to look like an AI model, right?

Do I get full copyright/ownership of the photos?

This one can be confusing. You’re actually granted usage rights to use your photos to promote yourself and your business; you can use them for pretty much anything except an advertising campaign (that needs separate terms). As the creator, I keep ownership of the photos and copyright and can also use them for any purpose.
